Community Building: 21st Century Edition.

Time to be painfully real with yourself and take a look at your phone usage for the day.. It’s alright ours is probably worse than yours. While it’s still nice to go outside and smell some fresh flowers when we get the chance, so much of our lives are wrapped up online so why not make the most of it?

More recently than not we’ve begun to see these niche interest groups start to form all over the internet. Whether it be NFTs, Taylor Swift, you name it-there’s bound to be a twitter group or reddit thread for you to connect with people that are just as passionate about it as you are. What makes this a modern miracle is allowing the ability for thousands if not millions of people to collaborate and connect with one another from virtually anywhere. By fostering these digital relationships we can introduce and cultivate an increased amount of unique ideas that are derived from ungodly amounts of cultures and perspectives. It’s a form of innovation that couldn’t be afforded even just twenty years ago, in something that most of us participate in on a daily basis!

As the need for real human connections increases, as does the importance to continue to build these types of online communities. Whether merely to connect people in means of socializing or even developing and strengthening your brand identity. I mean c'mon, how could it possibly get better than being able to market your company, NFT, or brand by people who all resonate with what you do that they build friendships with others that think the same?

Some food for thought the next time you send a GM or reply to a twitter post…
